Driven Solutions launches DocUMentDS Personal Edition for Windows and Linux, a Desktop Document Management System based on the open source product DocUMentDS Community Edition.
DocUMentDS is the first in a family of personal computer security products offered by Driven Solutions.
DocUMentDS helps keep your personal documents safe from intruders by providing AES-256 (strong encryption used by the US government to secure Classified Documents) capabilities for all documents and all file types (based on open source product CryptDS).
Encryption is easy to use in DocUMentDS Personal Edition by simply selecting the encrypt check box and entering a password for the document.
DocUMentDS also gives you the option to view and edit both encrypted and non-encrypted document with the default application associated with the document (available on Windows and Gnome Systems, not available on KDE).
DocUMentDS also has a built-in File Shredder system based on the open source product ShredderDS that lets you permanently destroy documents.
DocUMentDS also gives you the ability to email documents to other DocUMentDS Personal Edition users.
